Day 163 Demolition / Clean-up of First Floor Closet

The first floor closet was formerly the first floor master bedroom closet when we purchased the house years ago. We were just using it as a closet and a place to store things temporarily until we were ready to tear it down which was this past weekend's project. There was a lot of plaster and lathe as you can imagine!

Here is the progress in stages:

Here it is without the shelves and the door casing facing the kitchen. We're going to reuse the door mouldings / casings in other parts of the house.


Here is the final picture without the door casing that faced the former bathroom. The lathe on that wall was also removed. Michael moved the light switch that you see hanging in the middle on a stud next to the window.
