Day 2: Let the Destruction Begin!

We have a place to stay while the destruction is underway and have made really good progress according to Michael. In fact, after he started Friday night, he strongly believes we made the right decision to remove the plaster. There were areas of the walls that were not stable when we first purchased the house years ago due to neglect and absolutely no maintenance. With the construction across the street and next door, it has exacerbated the problem. Despite that, the good points are:

1. We can now insulate the house.
2. Update all wiring and electrical.
3. Put up nice new walls.

Here are the kids having breakfast in bed and acting silly at the same time:

Here is Uncle Tien providing assistance in getting the plaster off in the drawing room. As you can see, there is a lot of plaster dust

Beyond the (plaster dust) is the wall in the drawing room next to our beautiful solid wood staircase. You are looking at it from the parlour.

There was an original doorway in the parlour that was covered up for a long time. We surmise that this could have been the original doorway to the house.
