Day 3: The Kitchen and the Lathe

We're making good progress, and with Tien's help the plaster is removed from over 90% of the rooms. We're also starting to remove the lathe from the walls.

We're looking into the kitchen from the drawing room in this picture.

This is where the stove and the large baker's rack once stood.

This is where our kitchen table and charis were. You are looking at this room from the back door.

The lathe is starting to come down in the parlour.

Here is the view from the bottom of the stairs looking directly up to the ceiling. It appears to be a daunting task.

Our beautiful solid wood staircase is protected with cardboard and bubble wrap!

Getting ready to smash the first floor bathroom wall to bits! (Hideous room, that one!)
