Day 50: Insulation and Lighting (Part Deux)

Michael spent the better part of today vacuuming the attic and blowing in the cellulose insulation with the blower from Lowes. We came up with a communication system where:

Michael would yell "On" to
Minnie (who was on the stairs) who would yell "On" to
Yummer (who was sitting at the kitchen table) who would yell "On" to
me (who was standing outside with the blower) in 30 degree weather.

"Off" worked the same way, too. Believe it or not, this method was pretty successful! Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. :O)

MJM took pictures of the small attic. Here is one end of it. Notice the old knob and tube as well as the new wiring. As I noted in Day 45, the wood beams look incredible for being 106 years old. They probably look just about the same as they did when the house was first built.


Here is the other end. Believe it or not, MJM was able to drag the shop-vac vacuum up into the attic. Fits perfectly! LOL!


and the piece de resistance ... Here is the blower! Doesn't this look like the robot from "Lost in Space"? LOL
